MSN Messenger 7.0 (now superceded by msn 8.0 or Windows Live Messenger) introduced a load of cool new features as outlined below:
New msn emoticons – MSN 7.0 introduced custom animated emoticons. Users can upload up to 300 new msn emoticons. You can use the preset msn icons or upload your own emoticons messenger.
Display pictures for MSN Messenger – MSN 7.0, MSN 7.5 & MSN 8.0 support dynamic display pics for MSN Messenger. These are animated display pictures change based on the emoticon you use. Display picture for msn messenger are the same as msn icons or buddy icons.
MSN Winks: MSN 7 introduced "free msn winks" which allow you to send kisses, hearts and all sorts of silly and funny animated cartoons to your contacts including funny animated smiley faces. Nudge: MSN Messenger 7 and MSN 8 have 'Nudges'. A nudge allows you to send a "shake" to your contact. Both your own and your MSN Messenger contacts window will shake and send a sound.
